Young Legal Professionals Scholarship at Law Office of Kari H. Fawcett 2025

For over 25 years, the Law Office of Kari H. Fawcett has protected the rights of Maryland residents, providing representation in personal injury and family law cases. Now, our goal is to foster a new generation of legal professionals across the country. We are opening up the Young Legal Professionals Scholarship to help break down financial barriers for students who are studying law. Each semester, one student will receive $1000 to further his or her studies.

Requirements

Select students may apply for the Young Legal Professionals Scholarship under the following conditions:

  • The student must be currently enrolled or planning to enroll in a university or law school within the United States.
  • The student must be studying law with the intent to practice upon graduation.
  • The student must be at least 17 years of age.
  • The student must be a citizen of the United States.

Interview Dates and Process

To be considered for the scholarship, please review the eligibility requirements and submit all requested materials before August 18, 2025.

We plan to announce a winner within 30 days after the deadline.

If you meet the above criteria, you are invited to apply for the scholarship. Please attach proof of your enrollment at an accredited university or law school (.docx or PDF files of your acceptance letter, class schedule, or other proof of enrollment).

In addition to providing all required information and documentation, eligible students should answer the question on the right-hand side of this page in essay format in no more than 1,000 words:Your response should demonstrate a passion for the law and what you have learned in your studies and experiences. This response should be uploaded as a .docx or .pdf file.
