The Medication Administration Training (MAT) Scholarship Program is designed to help child care providers pay for the cost of taking a NYS Office of Children and Family Services (NYS OCFS) approved MAT course. Eligible participants can receive up to $240 for MAT classroom training, $150 for MAT Independent Study or $70 for the 3rd Online Renewal with Skills Competency. Childcare providers may receive a scholarship once every 33 months.

The first step is to register for a MAT classroom or independent study course or skills competency renewal testing on the ECETP website. Once you've been accepted into the class, you will receive an email with a link to the MAT Scholarship registration page. Complete the application within 60 days of the course completion date.
Before you start your application, have your Employment verification ready. The document must be uploaded in order to submit your application.
You will receive an email notifying you of an award or if additional documentation is required. Use the link in the email to review the terms and conditions and electronically sign your award. The award will be valid for 60 days from the issue date. If it is not accepted within the 60 day period, the award will be automatically cancelled. Once the award is accepted, the training organization will receive an email notifying them of an award to review. The Training Organization will review the terms and conditions and sign the award electronically within 90 days of receipt. If it is not accepted within the 90 day period, the award will be automatically cancelled. The funds will be paid directly to the Training Organization.
