The Gates-Cambridge Scholarship funds graduate study in any field at the University of Cambridge, except professional degrees (MD, MBA, MFin, PGCE, etc.) 2/3 of Gates funding is reserved for applicants proposing to do the PhD. Applicants must apply concurrently for admission to Cambridge.
The scholarship provides full funding for tuition and fees, and a living expense stipend of up to £20,000 per year for up to four years. Additional funding is available for travel, visa fees, and other circumstances at the discretion of the scholarship committee.
While at Cambridge, scholarship recipients also access community-building events throughout the year, as well as ongoing access to a robust, well-connected alumni network.
Applicants must be graduating seniors or Duke alumni of any nationality except citizens of the U.K. There is no age limit.
