Michel David-Weill is an alumnus of Sciences Po and former chairman of the investment bank Lazard Frères. The Michel David-Weill Foundation has founded a scholarship of excellence to attract exceptional American students to pursue their graduate education at Sciences Po in Paris, France’s leading social sciences university. The scholarship is awarded each year to one American student who exemplifies the core values embodied by Michel David-Weill – academic excellence, leadership, multiculturalism, tolerance and high achievement.
The scholarship carries a monetary value of about $80,000, covering tuition and living expenses during a two-year master's program.
Scholars also gain access to a strong alumni network at Sciences Po and ongoing opportunities for networking, collaboration, and advancement.
The scholarship will be awarded each year to one American citizen (born or naturalized) currently enrolled as a senior in a partner institution. Candidates will have a minimum GPA of 3.7 and will have been accepted to an eligible Sciences Po’s Masters program. At the time of receiving the award,the recipient will be between the ages of 19 and 25 and will not have attained a doctorate.
