Community Leadership Scholarship at Springfield college 2025

Community Leadership Scholarship will be awarded to 8 students annually who have an exceptional record of community engagement and service, as well as clearly defined commitments to enter a field after graduation where community leadership is central. Financial need is not a factor.*

The Community Leadership Scholarship is only available to full-time graduate students on our main campus in Springfield, Mass. Students enrolled in online programs are ineligible for this scholarship.

Benefits

Students receiving this scholarship will receive $5,000 annually for two consecutive years of study.

Requirements

• The Community Leadership Scholarship cannot be combined with the Distinguished Graduate Student Scholarship or the Excellence Award.
• The Community Leadership Scholarship cannot be combined with a fellowship/associateship position and will supersede any Springfield College Grant offered to students that participate in direct entry programs.
• Recipients must be newly admitted graduate students in good standing with a cumulative undergraduate GPA of no less than a 3.0 or a cumulative graduate GPA of 3.5. GPA is recalculated at the point of scholarship consideration. Returning graduate students are not eligible.
• Completed applications, including letters of recommendation, must be received in full.
