2026-2027 Boule Foundation Scholarship

The Boule' Foundation in conjunction with the United Negro College Fund, will provide annual merit-based scholarships to entering college freshmen students (Fall 2026) attending four-year, accredited non-profit degree-granting colleges and universities of their choice.

Requirements

 Applicants for the program must meet the following eligibility criteria:

• Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
• Must be graduating from high school in the Spring of 2026 and entering college as a Full-Time Freshmen in the Fall of 2026.
•  Be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States (from one of the areas indicated below), a resident of London, England, or a citizen of the Bahamas.
  • Area 1: Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, London, United Kingdom, Vermont and Virginia.
  • Area 2: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Nassau Bahamas, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee.
  • Area 3: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, West Virginia, and Wisconsin,
  • Area 4: Colorado, Idaho, Kansas, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, and Wyoming.
  • Area 5: Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, and Washington.

Selection Process

Selected students will receive a merit-based scholarship in the Fall 2026. The Boule' Foundation Scholarship is a renewable program based on availability of funds and provided that students continue to meet the following eligibility criteria.

1. Maintain a GPA of 2.70 or better on 4-point scale.
2. Enroll full time at accredited four-year college or university.

All application materials must be received by the application deadline of May 29th, 2026.  Applicants who have submitted complete applications will be notified of scholarship decisions no later than September 1st, 2026.

Application Documents

Students must submit an online application via the UNCF website and include the following:

1. Completed online application profile
2. One (1) letter of recommendation from a high school administrator or teacher
3. Current high school transcript showing mid-year grades
4. List of extracurricular activities, academic/civic honors and awards, community service, and work experience
5. Essay Responses (Required):
   • Based on your personal lived experience, describe a time when you faced oppression, advocated against inequity, or overcame an unjust obstacle in your path.
   • During your high school years, what community projects have you participated in, and how has that involvement made you a better person and student?

Letter of Recommendation / Reference Instructions 

• A letter of recommendation from a high school teacher or a high school administrator is required to complete this application. The LOR must be made through the online Applicant System and must be received by the application due date.
