2025 US Foods Scholars Program for Undergraduate Students

US Foods, Inc. has established a scholarship program to assist students pursuing a degree in the Culinary Arts, Hospitality, or related disciplines.

The program is administered by Scholarship America, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

Benefits

Up to eighteen (18) Awards of $10,000- 20,000 each will be granted.

Awards for recipients entering their final year of study will be a one-time award of $20,000.

Awards for all other recipients will be $10,000, renewable one time or until a bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first, on the basis of satisfactory academic performance (maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale), full-time enrollment, and continued study in an eligible major.

Requirements

Applicants to the US Foods Scholars program must meet all the following criteria:

  • Be at least 18 years of age at the time awards are disbursed in August
  • Be a legal U.S. resident or person authorized to work in the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia
  • Plan to enroll or already enrolled in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college or university for the entire upcoming academic year
  • Be pursuing a Culinary Arts degree or a related discipline, including, but not limited to, Culinary Science, Baking and Pastry Arts, Nutrition and Food Business Management, or Hospitality Management
  • Agree to participate in at least one professional development opportunity provided by US Foods

Interview Dates and Process

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:

  • Academic performance
  • Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
  • Work experience
  • Unusual personal or family circumstances
  • An online recommendation
  • A short answer question addressing your career goals*

Application Documents

As part of your application, you must upload the following documents:

  • A current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Transcripts must display:
  • Student name
  • School name
  • Grades
  • Credit hours for each course and term in which each course was taken.
