The Directors' Scholarship is one of our distinguished merit scholarships awarded by the University of California, Irvine. Those who receive this scholarship will receive an officially signed award letter through the undergraduate application portal.
UCI prepares students to become global leaders. Directors' Scholars will have the opportunity to participate in many outstanding programs designed to enhance their educational experience. Additional Directors' Scholar benefits include a monetary honorarium and on-campus housing guarantee.
Directors' Scholarship recipients must submit their Statement of Intent to Register (SIR) to the UCI Office of Undergraduate Admissions by the SIR deadline.
Directors' Scholars entering in Fall will receive a monetary honorarium (final amount subject to federal and state financial aid regulations). The scholarship may be renewed if the recipient is in compliance with the terms and conditions as outlined in the Directors' Scholarship webpage.
Directors' Scholars are required to enroll in and complete a minimum of twelve (12) units per quarter (Fall, Winter, and Spring quarters) at UC Irvine during their tenure as a Directors' Scholar and make normal progress toward a baccalaureate degree. A minimum cumulative 2.70 grade point average is required to automatically renew the Directors' Scholarship each year.
To be eligible for the Directors' Scholarship, the recipient must be a U.S. citizen, an eligible non-citizen, or a non-citizen with F1 visa. Only students who fall under these categories and are domestic out of state residents or international students are eligible for the Directors' Scholarship. California Residents are not eligible for this scholarship.
