Temple introduced the #WhyUS campaign and scholarships to ensure all international students know that the U.S. is one of the most desirable places in the world to study.
Winners will be chosen independent of a prospective student’s academic performance, and scholarships can be combined with other awards already received. Scholarship winners will be announced by April 1.

Benefits
- These scholarships, which range from $2,000 to $10,000 for up to four consecutive years (four years for first-year students and two years for transfer students), will be awarded for the best responses to the creative prompt.
Requirements
- You must be a first-year or transfer international student.
- You must be a Temple applicant (already admitted, applied or soon to apply).
- You must submit this scholarship by the deadline.
Application Documents
Respond to the creative prompt in the format that works best for you.
- Essay response (max. 250 words submitted as: .pdf, .jpeg, .doc)
- Video (max. one minute) ? Audio/spoken word essay (max. one minute)
- Photo collage (.pdf, .jpg, .png) ? Meme (.pdf, .jpg, .gif, .avi, .wmv or .mp4/.mpeg4)
- Drawing (.pdf, .jpg or .png)
- Painting (.pdf, .jpg or .png)
For nonwritten essay options, please submit a brief paragraph describing your project.

Describe how one, multiple or all of the #WhyUS points below speak to you and inform your desire to study in the United States at Temple. Be creative.

By participating you agree that Temple has the right to republish any/all content. Scholarship winners agree to serve as #WhyUS ambassadors and participate in International Students Affairs activities for up to 10 hours a semester.
