The Society for the Humanities at Cornell awards 2 postdoc fellowships about German and Near Eastern Studies for 2 years. Fellowships are available in those two areas of specialization at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. Fellows have limited teaching duties and the opportunity for scholarly research.
Stipend: Stipend of $62,000 per year.
Must have received PhD within the last 5 years or by activation date. Applicants who will have received the PhD degree 3 months before the fellowship start date are eligible. Applicants who do not have the PhD degree in hand at the time of the application must include a letter from the committee chair of department stating that the PhD will be conferred before the term of the fellowship begins. CV. A detailed statement of research interests. A writing sample. Course proposals for the courses the Mellon Fellow will teach while in residence at Cornell. 3 letters of recommendation.
