Smithsonian Environmental Research Center (SERC) in Chesapeake Bay awards 35 grad students and grads to take part in environmental research for up to 4 months. Several full-time (40 hours per week) internships are offered for 12-16 weeks to beginning graduate students or students who have recently graduated from an undergraduate or Masters program. The internship allows for hands-on experience in the fields of environmental research and education. Students work on projects under the direction of SERC's professional staff.
Stipend: Stipend of $650 per week.
Must be currently enrolled in a university as a beginning graduate student. OR, have recently graduated from an undergraduate or Masters program. Applicants must be in a position to commit fully to the completion of a project. Essay. CV or resume. Transcripts. 2 letters of recommendation.
