Paul Stock Foundation Arts and Sciences Travel Fund at University of Wyoming 2026

Paul Stock (1894-1972) was born in Florence, Colorado. He started in the oil business as a roughneck at 15. One biographer says he was hard-nosed, hard-playing, hard-working, and hard-living. He had a kind and generous heart, a western-style sense of humor, and a great deal of affection for children. He organized the Paul Stock Foundation in 1957 to help students get a higher education.

One of the truly great foundations in Wyoming, the Paul Stock Foundation is an avid supporter of higher education at the University of Wyoming. Organized by Cody resident Paul Stock, the foundation supports scholarships in addition to special work-study research projects for outstanding students. In 1992 the Paul Stock Foundation was recognized as an Outstanding Donor to the University of Wyoming College of Agriculture.

This award (up to $500) provides funding for travel to a conference or professional meeting to present the results of the student’s work during the 2025-2026 academic.

Requirements

Criteria:
1. Have to be a current undergraduate full-time UW student within the College of Arts and Sciences.
2. Provide a brief description of your project, as well as an itemized budget.
3. Letter of recommendation from a departmental faculty member and approval from Department Head is required.
4. Please note that preference will be given to proposals with a partial match in funding from your department.

Successful applicants will need to supply a short report on their conference presentation no later than September 18, 2026 to [email protected].

Deadline for applications: February 9th, 2026. Awards will be made by February 20th, 2026. Please do not inquire before this date.
