The Kemper K. Knapp Undergraduate Scholarships are supported through the annual generous support of the Kemper K. Knapp Bequest Committee to support high academic achieving freshman and transfer students from the State of Wisconsin.
Up to $8,000
1. Entering Freshmen from Wisconsin
2. 2024 National Merit Finalist who has selected UW-Madison as their “first choice” college
3. High academic achievement as demonstrated on their undergraduate admission application
4. Completed the 2024-2025 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and sent it to UW-Madison (School Code 003895)
National Merit Finalists must select UW-Madison as their “first choice” college with the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. While students have until May 31, 2024 to report their “first choice” college, we recommend that you select UW-Madison before March 1, 2024.
These students are entered into a competitive process to select scholarship recipients based on their admissions and financial aid applications. Students will be contacted if selected.
