UCLA Library Special Collections offers fellowships for up to 3 months for students and scholars to carry out research in any of the collections. Research residencies are for for scholars or students in graduate-level, post-doctoral, or independent research. Collections that are administered by University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Library Special Collections and available for fellowship-supported research include materials in the humanities and social sciences, medicine, life and physical sciences, visual and performing arts, and UCLA history. Fellows may be asked to speak briefly about their recent or ongoing research at an informal brownbag session with local scholars during their visit.
Stipend: Stipend ranging from $500-$2,500.
UCLA graduate students and visiting scholars may apply. Cover letter. CV. Outline of research topic, which describes special collections at UCLA Library use. Dates to be spent in residence. 2 letters of recommendation from faculty or other scholars familiar with the research project.
