International Merit Award at Washington State University 2025

Offered to degree-seeking undergraduate students on F-1 visas currently attending the Pullman campus who meet at least 1 of the following criteria. Even if you have received the Merit Award in the past, you will need to reapply for the award each semester (for a maximum of four semesters of receiving the award).

Requirements

• Cumulative GPA of 3.60 or above with a minimum of 12 WSU credits, or
• Unusual service to the university or community in the last 2 years, or
• Other extraordinary work or achievement in the last 2 years

To apply, submit the following:

International Programs Awards and Scholarship Application (Note: If you meet the 3.6 cumulative GPA and 12 WSU credits criteria, no additional documents are required.)

Plus, if claiming extraordinary service or achievement:

• A personal letter describing your unusual service to the community or extraordinary work or achievement, and
• Letter of recommendation from an advisor, a professor, or an official program administrator 
• confirming your service or achievement
