Illinois State University Latinx Alumni Network Scholarship 2025

LAN is pleased to announce scholarship opportunities for enrolled Latinx students at Illinois State University! Annual donations from alumni and friends of ISULAN fund this $500 scholarship. Two scholarships will be awarded for the 2026-2027 academic year.

Scholarship application and supporting documents are due Wednesday, December 3, 2025Two letters of recommendation are due by Wednesday, December 10, 2025, and must be from a teacher/professor, coach, supervisor, manager or clergy. Please send this link to your recommender.

The Latinx Alumni Network (LAN) was established and recognized as an affinity network by the Alumni Association in the fall of 2014. The mission of LAN is to establish, maintain and promote a network for the empowerment and advancement of Latinx alumni, students, faculty and staff at Illinois State University. As a part of LAN’s mission, the organization desires to assist students in securing financial aid through annual scholarships.

Requirements

In order to apply to the Illinois State University Latinx Alumni Network Scholarship, you must:

  • Be admitted to Illinois State University and in good academic standing for the academic terms of concern.
  • Exhibit outstanding commitment to learning, campus engagement, community service, and leadership.

Application Deadline

December 10, 2025

How To Apply

Please be ready to provide the following information and documentation:

  • All of your contact information
  • Your University ID number (nine-digit number that begins with an 8 assigned to you when applying for admissions)
  • If applicable, your high school information ( number of Honors/AP courses)
  • If applicable, your college information (last college attended, date of entry to Illinois State, number of credit hours earned)
  • Class level status you will be upon enrolling for fall 2026 (i.e. incoming freshman, current student, transfer student, etc.)
  • Month/year you expect to graduate from ISU
  • Your major of study
  • List of extracurricular activities, years of involvement, and position(s) held
  • Employment history
  • Prepared response to the essay question 
  • Two letters of recommendation that must be from a teacher/professor, coach, supervisor, manager or clergy. Please send this link to your recommender.
