Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE) sponsors more than 50 graduate student research programs in science and engineering all over the US. This program, managed by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), offers students the opportunity to participate in scientific research at various federal governmental agencies and research sites. Graduate students can work on their thesis research or prepare for more education from a master's to a doctoral level. Summer internships are available.
