Forensics Scholarship at California State University - Fullerton 2025

This scholarship supports students who are current members of the Cal State Fullerton competitive, intercollegiate speech and debate (forensics) team. The funds are contributed by CSUF Forensics alumni and are designated exclusively for student scholarships. Awards are distributed at the discretion of the Forensics Program to assist more students in need and to recognize excellence in the activity.Students currently or planning to be enrolled in Intercollegiate Forensics courses and actively participating on the CSUF Forensics Team.

Requirements

Open to CSUF students who meet the following criteria:

• Currently enrolled in, or have the intention to re-enroll in, any of the following Intercollegiate Forensics courses in the upcoming academic year:

  • HCOM 138

  • HCOM 338

  • HCOM 426

  • HCOM 499

• Active member of the CSUF Forensics Team.

• Demonstrated academic success.

• Demonstrated talent, motivation, and commitment to intercollegiate speech and debate.

• Demonstrates financial need.

Application Deadline

How To Apply

1. Log into your CSUF portal and click on the “Scholarships” app on the left-hand side. Follow the onscreen instructions and complete the Spring 2026 CSUF Scholarship Application.

2. In the “Course Enrollment and Research Interests” section of the application, check the following option:

   • ? I am enrolled or intend to reenroll in any of the following courses titled “intercollegiate forensics:” HCOM138, HCOM338, HCOM426, HCOM499, in the upcoming academic year.

3. In the “Supplemental Materials – Attachments” section of the application, upload the following:

A 1–2-page essay (double spaced) explaining why you are a strong candidate for a forensics scholarship.
Begin by summarizing your academic background and speech and debate experience, including any awards or honors received. Describe your dedication to the team and any service activities or leadership roles you have undertaken. Outline your goals and ambitions for the upcoming academic year in speech or debate.
