The Faustin Prinz Fellowship supports undergraduate Mechanical Engineering and Engineering Mechanics students who want to develop a research project with ME or EM faculty, get access to cutting-edge laboratory equipment, and work closely with a faculty project advisor.
$4000 scholarship and $1000 in support of research
Students must have passed progression requirements into the Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Mechanics major and be enrolled full-time.
Students must have at least two full semesters on campus remaining before you graduate, so you can enroll in two semesters of ME/EM 489.
Will meet the requirements of the Honors in Research Program.
To get started, contact a faculty member with research expertise similar to your interests. If they are able to guide your research project, discuss your ideas with them.
Your application will include a short summary of your project, a full project proposal (use this document as a template), your CV/resume, and your unofficial UW–Madison transcript. Your faculty research advisor will also submit a letter of recommendation.
