This scholarship was established through the generosity of Dr. Margaret Skillman Woyski, her family, and the alumni and friends of the Department of Geological Sciences.Open to students with a declared major in Geology or Earth Science who will be enrolling in GEOL 481A – Field Camp in the upcoming summer.

Requirements

Open to CSUF students who meet the following criteria:

• Demonstrated financial need by filing the 2025–26 FAFSA or the California Dream Act Application (CADAA).
• Good academic standing with the University.
• Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or greater.
• Enrollment as an undergraduate student with a declared major in Geology or Earth Science at CSU Fullerton.
• Service to the Department of Geological Sciences, such as:
  • Involvement in the Geology Club.
  • Participation in faculty-directed research.
  • Tutoring students.

How To Apply

1. Log into your CSUF portal and click on the “Scholarships” app on the left-hand side. Follow the onscreen instructions and complete the "Spring 2026 CSUF Scholarship Application."
2. In the "Involvement in Clubs or Organizations" section of the Student Application, check off the following option if it applies to you:

• "I am a member of the Geology Club."

3. In the "Course Enrollment and Research Interests" section of the Student Application, check off the following option if it applies to you:

• "I am involved in faculty-directed research within the Department of Geological Sciences.
