Funds shall be used to provide financial-need-based scholarships to one or more of the following categories of non-traditional undergraduate students who are pursuing their first bachelor’s degree:
1) Adult Learners
2) Military Veterans or Active Military of any age
3) GED/HiSet recipients, regardless of age
4) Students who were formerly Foster Care Youth, regardless of age
The purpose of this award is to address state and national needs for filling in-demand employment categories over the next five to ten years. To meet the objectives of this grant, scholarship recipients will undertake career advising and those who are graduating must have secured a “program aligned†offer of employment by graduation.
The average annual award is $2,000.
Applicants must have completed the FAFSA, have “unmet†financial need to meet UW’s Cost of Attendance after all financial aid has been applied to your account, and it is preferred that recipients be enrolled full-time. The average annual award is $2,000
