Coover & Associates Parents With Passion Scholarship 2025

Single parents have the weight of the world on their shoulders, tasked with raising and providing for their children around the clock, often with limited support. At Coover & Associates, we have nothing but admiration for hard-working single parents, and for that reason, we are opening up the Parents With Passion Scholarship to single parents who are pursuing a college degree.

This scholarship is deeply personal for our firm, as Attorney Sheri Coover worked through college as a single parent raising four children and wants to help other parents taking on the same challenges.

All applications must be submitted before the final deadline of November 3, 2025 at 11:59 PM. The winner of this scholarship will receive a total of $1,000 for his or her college tuition, class materials, or other school expenses.

Requirements

If you would like to apply for the Parents With Passion Scholarship, you must meet all of our eligibility requirements below:

• You must be a single parent.
• You must maintain a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
• You must be enrolled or planning to enroll in an undergraduate or graduate program within the United States for the Fall 2025 semester.
• You must be at least 17 years old.
• You must be a citizen of the United States.

Selection Process

Our judges will evaluate your response based on the following

• Do you address all of the questions asked in the prompt?
• Do you tell a compelling narrative about your life as a single parent?
• Do you present your essay in a clear, concise manner?

After the deadline has passed, the scholarship team will work diligently to review all applications. We hope to have a winner selected no later than December 3.

At the bottom of this page, you will find a digital application. All applicants must provide the requested information, along with proof of enrollment at their chosen school, proof of their achieved GPA, a headshot, and other materials.

Additionally, please answer the following prompt as a written essay. This essay should be approximately 750 words in length.Why did you decide to go to college as a single parent? How does attending and pursuing your college degree affect your children? How would obtaining a college degree affect your family?
