At the US Department of Commerce, with locations in Washington DC and other areas, graduate students will undergo a 10-15 week internship. Internships to participate in hands-on education and training related to the Department of Commerce mission. Interns spend 10 weeks in the summer or 15 weeks during fall or spring semester at the Department of Commerce headquarters, division offices, and field centers. The internship combines academic theory with career development.
Stipend: Weekly stipend of $600 for graduate students; $150 per week housing allowance and limited travel reimbursement; accidental medical expense coverage provided.
Applicant must be enrolled in a graduate program. Must apply through 1 or more of these program partners: 1) Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU). 2) Minority Access, Incorporated (MAI). 3) Oak Ridge Associated Universities (ORAU). 4) The Washington Center (TWC).
