Clemens-Knott² Scholarship at California State University - Fullerton 2025

This scholarship was established by faculty members Diane Clemens-Knott and Jeffrey R. Knott to promote training in geologic field mapping.
Open to undergraduate students in the Department of Geological Sciences who will be attending CSU Fullerton’s GEOL 481A – Field Camp or a similar geologic mapping-focused field camp in the upcoming summer.

Requirements

Open to CSUF students who meet the following criteria:

  • Demonstrated financial need by filing the 2025–26 FAFSA or the California Dream Act Application (CADAA).

  • Enrolling in Geological Sciences (GEOL) 481A – Field Camp, an advanced geologic mapping course requiring field reports, maps, and cross-sections, conducted over 45 hours per week for four weeks during summer, or a similar geologic mapping-focused field camp.

  • Good academic standing with the University.

  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.

  • Enrollment as an undergraduate student.

How To Apply

1) Log into your CSUF portal and click on the “Scholarships” app on the left-hand side. Follow the onscreen instructions and complete the "Spring 2026 CSUF Scholarship Application".
2) In the "Course Enrollment and Research Interests" section of the Student Application, check off the following option: "I will be enrolling in Geological Sciences (GEOL) 481A – Field Camp or a similar geological mapping-focused field camp."
