This award is designed to remove the financial barriers that prevent students from cultivating their career interests, networking, and more generally, participating fully in campus life. This needs-based scholarship will defer the cost of attendance (i.e. tuition, fees, books, transportation, room and board, etc.) up to a maximum of $5,000 per year.

Requirements
- Applicants must be current CSUN Junior and Senior undergraduates who are first-generation college students.
- Open to any Major or College.
- Must have a FAFSA or California Dream Act application on file for the awarding academic year.
- Undergraduate students be in good academic standing.
- Undergraduate students must enroll in 12-15 units or more during the Fall & Spring terms of the award year.
*Any change to your enrollment status resulting in less than the minimum requirement of 12 units enrolled for any term within the award year will result in a cancellation of your award.
- Must have demonstrated exceptional leadership and community service.
- One letter of recommendation must be requested through the myMatador Scholarship system.
